How to type emoji on Windows 10
Same Win + . panel as Win 11
Windows 10 added the emoji panel in the October 2018 Update (build 1809). It is the same picker that shipped with Windows 11 — `Win + .` opens it in any text field.

Open the panel
Win + .Press the Windows key + period together. The panel anchors at your cursor.

Browse or search
Type to filter, or use the bottom row to switch between emoji, kaomoji, and symbols.

Use the Touch Keyboard
Right-click the taskbar → enable "Show touch keyboard button". The smiley icon on the touch keyboard opens the same picker.
